About Me
Here are a few things about me
Well, Where to start. I don't have a fascinating entry story to share into the world of photography. I'm lucky enough to have taken many many images from around the UK.
It's more a case of stumbled on by mistake. I spent many years darting aroung the UK taking what I thought were half decent images, wasting money on the film processing along the way.
With no real found love for a subject, it dawned on me. Where do i love being. What really gets my eye drawn into a potential image?
Mother Nature! Having grown up in a very industrial part of Essex, I was soon travelling the country through work and experiencing different surroundings. I must say Yorkshire is stunning and introduced me to some fantastic landscapes.
Having decided to settle for a while I was kind of overwhelmed with locations and views. Perfect for training my eye for compositions and getting to grips with settings .
With all the experience gained up in Yorkshire it was time for a change. A big one. New location. New camera. New surroundings. That's when I moved to Cornwall. 2008 is where it really grew into something special.

To The Choice
Of Your Style
Finding my style or preferred type of image was harder than I thought, especially in the early days. Back then, every image I was taking and processing was amazing. Looking back I see nothing but a waste of money on almost every film developed.
The first lesson I knew I had to learn and this is almost a bad habit of many photographers I have watched or worked with it's trying to force an image to be something its not. Capturing a portrait of a subject, or a model posing is best done with the subject relaxed and as natural as they can in the situation. This includes the surroundings, a place they wouldn't feel out of place.
The right location choice can have a massive impact on the finished image. My style eventually took a turn towards the natural feel soon after moving to Cornwall, everything seemed natural, calm and relaxed.
The key now to achieving the same effect in different locations comes from engaging with the client, model or my personal topic a little closer and asking this one question before any images are taken. What's the desired end goal of this image?
Once that has an answer, its impressive how creative your mind can be, after all you now know what you need to create and hopefully have enough experience to capture that naturally.
TOPICS I'LL COVER
I undertake most types of photography but I'll have to be honest and admit my true love has to be Landscapes.
With that being said though portrait photography is becoming something I'm starting to enjoy. Especially pets.

Comet Neowise was a little bit of an accident that turned out well during covid lockdown. These represent my happiest place for photography.
